The term buyer’s remorse refers to negative emotions-such as regret, anxiety, or guilt that consumers may experience after buying an item.  It’s typically linked to large purchases like a car or a new home.  Although these possessions are often considered necessities in our modern-day society, they both require costly payments and maintenance.  When we think of investing in our health, we often fail to make the necessary payments required.

To own an automobile or a home, we pay monthly insurance rates and do the needed maintenance checks to ensure the maximal efficiency of both.  For example, we get the routine oil changes and change our furnace filters etc. to avoid further problems in the future.

Yet when we think of taking care of our bodies, that which we only get one of and is irreplaceable, we fail to maintain it and give it the needed tools to maintain, sustain and thrive in life. The Bible states in 1 Corinthians 3:16- “Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?"

For God’s temple is holy, and you are that temple.” In fact, all or most of the common diseases are due to a failure to take the proper ownership or stewardship for the risk factors that are controllable, when we prioritize as such.  I’m often dumbfounded that the first expenditures that people cut from their budgets are often gym memberships, healthier foods, and supplements.

Through being a personal trainer for years and providing various evidence-based health supplements, one of the main deterrents as to why people fail to start a health program or discontinue their gym memberships/supplements, is due to expense. In fact, the statistics show that around half of new gym memberships quit in the first six months.

Yet, neglecting our health today and taking the necessary accountability to preserve our bodies, comes with a very expensive price tag. Why not make the decision today to invest in a preventative insurance policy to avoid those expensive claims, that will inevitably catch up with us through various health related disorders.  We work our entire lives and put away necessary retirement to enjoy and live on.  Consequently, many of these funds are allocated to manage various disease states that could’ve been mitigated through taking the initiative for our health.

Why not choose to thrive in life and live a life of vitality.  John 10:10 states, “But I came to give life-life that is full and good. A thief comes only to steal and kill and to destroy.”

Make the necessary choice that will pay the biggest dividends in your health portfolio today and in your future years!!!
